Fabulous food with easy to follow instructions.

Great for teaching about your state

One last chance is... one last chance. For over a year I've been passing up "SPINDOC" by Perry. The back cover write up just didn't interest me. This book is Part 2 of "SPINDOC". Although "THE FOREVER DRUG' is a neat stand-alone story, enough hints of what happened previously mean that now I have to get a copy of "SPINDOC", and it's no longer on the shelf at my local bookstore. I should have known better than to pass up a book by Perry.

A good overall view of life on the prairie.

Wonderful keepsake, an easy and fun read

Telling it like it was

The "Happy Hour" Guide

A Good Book

Gets young minds thinking (always a dangerous thing :)There is no denying, however, that the point of this book is to encourage animal rights. While both sides are presented, clearly one side is more favorable (the animals side, of course) This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it is a fact of the book. I had only two complaints with the material: One was the somewhat overzealous promotion of certain activists groups that many parents may not want their younger children to align with. The second was the attempt to make the ancient act of animal sacrifice seem boorish. While there is no denying that past cultures had a less-than-enlightened view of animals, those from a Judeo-Christian heritage may feel that sacrifices were unecessarily attacked.
I would recommend this book for children old enough to discern their own choices. Parents should guide younger children with discussion.

Incredible book...One of the best books I have ever read regarding these mostly ignored chapters of World War II.
